History of tape

Application of tape was put forward at UK and USA, 30th, May, 1928 by Mr. Richard Drew who has invented a light, pressure-sensitive adhesive. Why tape can stick things? Just because the adhesives on its surface. Earliest adhesive is from animals and plants; In 1900s, rubber is main part of adhesive; And nowadays we widely use various polymers to make adhesives. The reason for why adhesive can stick things is because when its molecular touches connected item's molecular, there will be a linkage formed between them which can bond the moleculars strongly together.
